Wondering what is around us rather than how to reach us? That is the location page.
Routes
Four ways to arrive
The rail part is straightforward. The last hundred metres is the part worth reading, and it is the second paragraph of each of these.
From the airport
KLIA Express or KLIA Transit from either terminal to KL Sentral, which is the interchange everything in Kuala Lumpur runs through. From KL Sentral the monorail goes to Bukit Bintang without changing again, and Bukit Bintang is the street the hostel is on.
By MRT
Bukit Bintang station is on the MRT Kajang line, the one that runs across the middle of the city, and it comes out onto Jalan Bukit Bintang itself.
Come out at Pintu F. The pillar above it says Entrance F in a large letter, and it puts you on the street the hostel is on.
By monorail
Bukit Bintang monorail station is on the same street, on the elevated line that runs down to KL Sentral.
The stop is Bukit Bintang, signed Bukit Bintang / Sungei Wang, and it is the one to get off at. Down to street level and you are on Jalan Bukit Bintang.
By Grab or taxi
Set the destination to Travelogue Guesthouse, Jalan Bukit Bintang. The pin in the map below is the same one the app uses, so if the driver asks, showing them this page is enough.
A car can pull up at the door. Drivers take the map pin straight there and there is nothing to explain.
The way in
The last part, in four pictures
Street, sign, stairs, desk. Four photographs beat any amount of writing when somebody is standing outside at eleven at night.
1The yellow door, with a Starbucks beside it. If you are level with the Starbucks you are level with us.
2The lit sign hangs out over the pavement and the arrow on it points at the door.
3Through the door, past the boards on both walls, and up. There is no lift and no reception at street level.
4The glass door at the top. Somebody is behind it through the day and the evening.
Reception Upstairs ↑
Arriving
When you get here
Arriving before check in is normal and it is not a problem. Neither is arriving at two in the morning.
Check in from 2pm
Reception is upstairs and somebody is there through the day and the evening.
Early? Leave the bag
If your flight lands in the morning, drop your bag at reception and go out. You do not have to sit in a lobby until two.
Check out by noon
And you can leave your luggage at reception afterwards. Guests on a late flight do this most days.
Lost on the street
Message reception on WhatsApp. Somebody will tell you which door, which is faster than any instruction written in advance.
