Explore Kuala Lumpur with the
Travelogue family

Nobody walks out of the door on their own here. There is something on most days, it is run by the people at reception, and you turn up in the common area a few minutes before.

Activities are subject to schedule and availability.

Both are upstairs, both are free, and neither needs booking.

Cards and whoever is around, up on the roof, once the heat has gone out of the day.

Rooftop Social

The whole floor comes up, someone takes the photograph, and the towers do the rest.

The bits that are not on the board

Everything above runs to a timetable. Most of what people remember does not.

How it works

Joining takes about a minute

  1. Read the board

The week is written up by hand beside reception and it changes. Whatever is on it is what is happening.

  2. Turn up in the common area

Every walk leaves from there. A few minutes before the time on the board is early enough.

  3. Stay in the group chat

Reminders, changes and the next day’s plan go out in the guest WhatsApp group.

Ask to join the group

FAQ

Questions about the activities

Asked at reception often enough to be worth writing down.

Still have a question?

Message us and somebody at reception will answer it.

Ask on WhatsApp
How do I know what is on while I am staying?

The week is written by hand on the board beside reception at Travelogue Guesthouse and it changes as the days are set. The same list goes out in the guest WhatsApp group, and reception will tell you if you ask.

What do the activities cost?

Joining is free. The Jalan Alor food walk is the one with a cost worth planning for, and that is dinner, usually about RM15 to RM25 a person.

Where does everything meet?

In the common area, unless the board says otherwise. Games night and the rooftop social are upstairs on the roof.

Can I join if I am travelling on my own?

That is who most of this is for. Nothing is arranged in advance and nobody signs up in pairs. Most people at Travelogue Guesthouse arrive on their own and leave having spent the week with other people.
